The Waiheke T3 swim team performed brilliantly on Saturday 16 June in their third competition of the season at Cameron Pool, Mt Roskill. Despite having no home pool the dedicated team of 10 (who train only once a week in Auckland) managed two wins and two seconds against some tough competition. 

Seren Coghlan started the racing with great effort and improvement. James Thornbury followed with an excellent race start to achieve second in backstroke. The freestyle relay proved a hard race and saw Hannah Anderson lose her goggles. Undeterred she pushed on and handed over to Lex Evatt-Wood, who went all out to make up time. • Deryn Dromgoole
