Need help with creating your ad? We can make your advertisement for you. When you book an ad, our design services are free for the first two proofs. Please supply copy along with any logos or images required and a short layout brief. When sending files, please attach all elements as separate files, not within documents.
If you have any questions about our requirements and technical specifications, please call our design team on 372 5055.
Our Deadline for Gulf News Display Advertising: NOON MONDAY on the week of publication. (Deadline is earlier around public holidays)
We have developed these best practice guidelines to help ensure the best printing results.
• Where possible use 100% black for text. 100% black means one ink is used rather than all four different colours/inks on the paper to make black. Our printers cannot guarantee it will print legibly under 5mm (that’s 12-point on most fonts).
• We do not accept Canva ads – in our experience the pre-sets of Canva are not up to the industry standards required for print. We would prefer to make the advertisement for you (at no cost to you for the first two proofs). However, Canva is a great way for you to supply us your ad design brief and we can re-make it in Adobe Creative Suite once you supply us the elements (pictures/logos etc).
• We require high resolution images (RGB) which must not be over-processed as this will affect the colour/ink levels for the content/pictures of the entire page. Supplied images must be a minimum resolution of 300dpi. Our minimum file size is 1MB and high resolution AI or PDF files are best. We do not accept .gif or .bmp. Only supply photos that you have permission to use. Please supply photos in their original form, not processed with Instagram filters or other special photo editing effects.
• If your artwork arrives late, we will not be able to complete a technical check to ensure all elements are at industry standard for print and thus we cannot guarantee the print quality of your ad.
• Press Ready artwork should be supplied as a PDF (use press quality setting, ISOnewspaper 26v4). Please supply to correct sizing as per the provided chart. Supply artwork with no bleed and no crop marks. Remove any Pantone colours.
