30th anniversary of The Piano: A joint event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of New Zealand film, The Piano, featuring an illustrated presentation with music from Dr Kirstine Moffatt at Waiheke Musical Museum, entry by koha, followed by a screening of The Piano at Waiheke Cinema, with tickets available through the cinema and at waihekecinema.co.nz.

Waiheke Community Art Gallery / Te Whare Taonga o Waiheke: Sid Marsh presents Pacific White, an exhibition of his intricate, detailed drawings and paintings alongside Between Showers by Clive Humphreys and Charting the Present and Imponderabilia from Vinita Khanna, until 12 May. The gallery is open daily 10am to 4pm at 2 Korora Road, Oneroa. 

The Red Shed: John Crowhurst’s collection of fascinating pen and ink drawings feature in Images from the Mind of the Crow, at the Red Shed gallery in Palm Beach. The gallery is open weekends, 10am to 4pm.

Dawn Service: Parade assembly at 5.45am at the Cenotaph outside the Waiheke RSA Ostend War Memorial Hall at 29 Belgium Street. Coffee and tea will be provided in the clubrooms on completion of the Dawn Service.

Anzac Parade: Parade assembly at 10.45am for an 11.10 service outside the Waiheke RSA building. Parade commences at 11am along Belgium Street and into Ostend Road.
